Feluka Trip Aswan – Komombo – Edfu
(3 days/3 nights, 2 – 7 participants per boat)
After your houseboat vacation you want to experience another side of the fascinating Nile landscape? You may wish to leave Aswan in a slow motion before returning to a faster and more technically determined world?
Perhaps is then this tour the right choice for you.
You spend 3 days on a traditional sailing boat, in harmony with the rhythm of the river and with the view at a panorama which is shaped by the contrast between the ancient cultural landscape of the Nile valley and its boarders composed by the desert.
The course of the travel will be determined mainly by your own wishes and rhythms. A stop can be provided at any time – to swim and sunbathe or simply to enjoy a place or a view.
The nights you will spend either on the feluka or on a Nile island which will host the boat over night. You will enjoy some evenings at a camp fire, perhaps celebrating an improvised party together with our Nubian boat team, or simply being indulged in the quietness of the night at the river. Then you will sleep under a “tent of 1000 stars” (or – if you prefer that respectively in case of windy or cold weather – in the covered feluka).
All meals (full board) will be prepared on board.
Food and drinks (please tell us also your personal wishes) will be stored on board in a cooling box respectively freshly bought during the trip.
Please bring, if possible, a sleeping bag with you. Alternatively we can also provide you blankets and pillows.
You can book this tour also at short notice during your stay on the houseboat or in Aswan. Before starting you have the possibility to visit the feluka and to meet our boat team. Prices will be agreed individually.
After arrival in Edfu we also like to organize your journey to Luxor (by taxi) and on request also your further stay there.
For visits of the Pharaonic temples in Komombo and Edfu we can provide you a professional tour guide with proved historic and archeological knowledge (English and German). Please also contact us with this request.
